Exactly. If you force me to comb through poorly captioned Instagram Reels to piece together a menu like I'm on some sort of digital scavenger hunt, you've lost me as a customer.

Two restaurants — one new, the other reopening under new management — are less than a block from each other and an easy bike ride from my house. They serve completely different types of food from each other, but both have jumped on the hottest trend in restaurants: Neither has a website.

Saw an owl pal on my morning walk around the neighborhood. 🪶🦉

I know it's way too early to make such a statement in Savannah, Georgia, USA, but on my bike ride home from the radio station tonight it felt sort of cool. Sort of like fall. 🎃

Faculty returned to campus today and it was nice to see everyone, but what really made it feel like fall is semester starting soon was hearing the drumline practicing.

Every reputable expert I know considers mRNA vaccine technology to be one of the most revolutionary advances in medicine in our lifetimes. Its inventors won the Nobel Prize in 2023. Shutting it down now is pointless self-harm to humanity.

Thanks for sharing this. Never heard of it, but will seek it out. Drove through that part of the state on Sunday.

Just slipped out of a family gathering with my aunt to buy a birthday cake for her husband. This will be a surprise for him because his birthday is not until November. Additional surprise for him: He's not the only birthday boy. We are also celebrating the birthday of my cousin's dog, Burt. 🎂

The City of Savannah certainly went on a West Chatham County annexation spree earlier this century.

Yep. There also seems to be a trend toward backing into parking spaces, which I suspect is a byproduct of the ubiquity of back-up/rear-view cameras these days. Combine that with the proliferation of ridiculously-sized trucks used to commute and go grocery shopping, and this is what we get.
