If you have a journal for student research, do you have a separate journal for non-MD programs or is it all in one journal? We have a faculty member who’s interested in starting one. #medlibs

A very interesting experiment. I usually use Simple Text Query to find the DOIs and use Zotero connector to import them. I agree that our patrons are not likely to double check until they go to cite the missing resource.

See I could never be a member of Congress because I would immediately put my mouth as close to the mic as possible and shout my question into it and then ask if he could hear me now.

It’s because they’re perishable. You don’t know when you’re going to get to the store next so get the stuff while you can mentality.

I’m confused. You’re first set was 1 pill 3 times a day (3 total for the whole day). A double dose should be 2 pills 3 times a day. (6 total) Mathwise 1.5 pills 4 times a day should work but I would check with the doc/pharmacist about efficacy. They might give you a higher dosage. Depends on drug.

Hardest was how to evaluate stroke symptoms in a patient who is Deaf. Lots of information on how stroke can cause deafness but not a lot on people who are already deaf and experiencing a stroke.

It’s also the worst way to preserve something. (Think of floppy disks) Paper and physical material last a lot longer when properly treated.

Some journals do have policies for peer reviewers using Ai and they mostly state that peer reviews cannot upload the article into Ai tools but can use it to make their review more readable.

Shadow concurs. Possession is 9/10ths of the law after all.

We make Irish cream and cookies for our neighbors (and us) and every year they return the bottle and tin so that we can refill them.

We have a new coworker who got trapped in a room today. No matter how much she tried to turn the doorknob she couldn’t open it. She called for help and nobody heard her for several minutes.

Except it was just a sliding door and she was never trapped. She’s going to fit in here just fine

Academics is also one of the slowest areas to get back to you after you submit your application. I applied for my current job in May and didn’t get an interview until the middle of June and didn’t get the job offer until August.

Inalj.com is a wonderful resource and don’t be afraid to look slightly outside the library field. Skills matter more than the degree and if you can quantify or point to specific examples of those on your resume you should get a good match.
