Yeah. There can't be a zero because you've got a total of 100 different results, but 0 to 100 is 101. So you're either 0-99 or 1-100.

If 10,0 is 100, then how do you roll 10?

Yeah, I've never heard anything good about their balance strategy.

It kind of is, but it's a goal worth fighting for. The meta's always going to gravitate towards the Most Good, and it's hard to have things be diverse.

C#'s a great language, even if the frontend support is just a bit immature. Blazor works well enough, but it's the same benefits you get with using JS for full-stack development - sharing libraries on the front and backend, sharing expertise, etc. It's just nice to have a different language for it.

Compiled to WASM for Blazor, sorry. Just woke up.

That's how C# on the web works right now, the runtime is compiled to Blazor. On top of being a bit of a big download it's got some limitations - WASM doesn't provide the right runtime services to be a light platform for that. They're working on AOT compilation for C#, but that has limitations too.

It'd be nice if plugin architecture could provide different runtimes like that, but then they might worry we're back in the old days of Java applets and Flash security bugs.

Not an unsolvable problem by any means, I'm sure, but why would Google want to invest in that when they have V8 anyway?

In theory caching should solve that second one, but when has that ever worked right? I guess it's just a case of 'we have runtime at home'.

Have you tried Linux? Everything works exactly the way you want it to, as long as you understand the forbidden incantations of the command line and sacrifice a goat once a month to a dark lord of your choice.
