Back at it this week with Dispatch, can't wait to see what the finale will be after the last episode. We'll also be starting our first book club episode, where we read The Castle of Otranto, a classic Gothic horror novel!

The procedure to train those with the potential was guelling. First, the desciples were trained to memorise on scripture after the next until they could recite them flawlessly to exorcise demons. Second, they were trained in combat so that no matter what foe they faced they were able to defend themselves. Finally when they were ready they would be able to seek out a demon to create a pact with them and offer up a piece of themselves. Even after Eve had long passed, the tradition of preparing the desciples this way was upheld, even today the Sanctuarium Peccatorum prepares their new exorcists this way. As a test of her resilience, Sanctuarium Peccatorum has tasked this unholy nun to face a trial that will test not her combat ability, but her ability to grow as a person and mature.

Together they emerged from Below as a combined force. The angels knew that Eve had struck a forbidden deal and charged immediately to punish her. From her chest, Eve summoned forth the power of Lilith, pulling a flaming sword that cut through any angel that dared attack her. Followers of the church were greatly displeased by her actions and condemed her while stripping her of her position within the church. As an answer to this, she decided to create her own sanctuary and named it Sanctuarium Peccatorum where sinners like her were greeted welcomingly. As the foundation grew more and Eve grew older she knew it was time to prepare the next generation of exorcists. She trained 7 desciples to take her place, however she knew that she had to choose the best of the best for only those with strong wills could dare to make deals with demons.

⌛ 12 𝖍𝖔𝖚𝖗𝖘 𝖗𝖊𝖒𝖆𝖎𝖓

The candles are being lit, old wood dusted, and in the middle of the altar bathed in crimson light, she awaits you.

The answer was within reach but nobody dared to even think about it for the price would be costly. But to Eve there was no cost too great to pay when it came to defending humanity. She entered the deep bowls of Below to try and find answers, and answers she did find. In a deep cave overgrown with thorns she found a demon chained to a wall. The demon offered herself to Eve as a solution to the problem: create a pact with a demon, offer up a part of yourself and gain their power. With no hesitation, Eve gladly accepted this deal and offered her heart to the demon. The demon cackled and held up her end of the bargain, freeing herself from her bonds.

⌛24 𝔥𝔬𝔲𝔯𝔰 𝔯𝔢𝔪𝔞𝔦𝔫

Another piece of lore unveils itself alongside the unholy nun

Outside of the Sanctuarium Peccatorum, you will mainly hear how angels came to rescue the mortals from the evils of Below. How they cast out one of their own for rebelling against their own father. But records show that angels were just as dangerous as demons, for they did the same actions, but under the guise of doing it for the greater good. In a world of immortal beings, how was a human supposed to defend themself? Nobody is sure anymore where the first exorcist came from, nor what her real name is. The scribes of the Sanctuarium Peccatorum have named her "Eve" after the first woman created. She lived in a time where Above and Below were constantly at each other's throats. Around this time, humans had gained the knowledge that demons could be exorcised and sent back Below with holy scriptures, but what about angels? Demonic scriptures seemed to harm them, but they never finished the job; in fact, it would only serve to piss the angels off and make them more dangerous.

The final countdown to debut has begun, but I have a treat in store for you. Ever wondered what exactly an unholy exorcist does? Well... I'll be dropping some fun lore for you to read over the next few hours then
