The tariffs are catastrophic. But so too are the abuses of power, so is the corruption, so are the police state tactics, so is the destruction of our health care infrastructure, so are the ways our national security is being endangered, so are the attacks on our core freedoms.

I am Jewish.
I have spent literally my entire life on university campuses.
I was the child of two Jewish professors.
Since kindergarten I have spent exactly one year as neither a student nor a professor.
I have, on occasion, experienced antisemitism. But never on a university campus.
The 1% evade $163B in taxes per year.
Tesla paid $0 in federal income taxes from 2018 - 2022 & 2024.
Billionaires can write off the cost of their private jets and yachts.
While undocumented immigrants paid $96B in taxes in 2022.
The more you look into it, the crazier it gets.
In 2019, Pfizer reported ZERO taxable profits in the USβdespite selling $20 BILLION worth of drugs to American patients.
By reporting their profits offshore, they dodged billions in taxes and paid a 5.4% tax rate.
Don't tell me our tax code isn't rigged for giant corporations.

If you accept that non-citizens have no right to due process, you are accepting that citizens have no right to due process. All the government has to do is claim that you are not a citizen; without due process you have no chance to prove the contrary.

"Trump's new Executive Order underscores how far removed this President, Attorney General and Administration are from our nation's Constitution and bedrock values. Our liberties depend on lawyers' willingness to represent unpopular people and causes, including in matters adverse to the Federal Government. An attack on lawyers who perform this work is inexcusable and despicable. Our profession owes every client zealous legal representation without fear of retribution, regardless of their political affiliation or ability to pay. We encourage law firm leaders to sign on to an amicus effort in support of Perkins Coie's challenge to the Administration's executive order targeting the firm, and to resist the Administration's erosion of the rule of law." - John Keker, Robert Van Nest, Elliot Peters, Laurie Carr Mims, and the Keker, Van Nest & Peters Partnership ALT

βAre you worried?β That is always the first question.
βOf course I am worried,β I respond. βThe president of the United States considers me an enemy and has promised retribution. I would be an idiot not to be worried. But I am not going to give in. I will continue to fight.β
Every neighborhood has that one house where the drama runs deeper than the foundationβfamily issues don't stop at the front door.
Ultimately, at the end of the day, it will be up to Americans to get their own house in order. #anxiousneighbour
