I thought he made some good saves but nothing amazing (or that I wouldn't expect our goalkeepers to save). It was more a general point about our execution - final action stuff - that was a bit disappointing.

So excited about Max Dowman. His ability to beat players and glide across the ground is special. He keeps the ball so close to his feet and under control at all times - even at pace.

Strange to see a 16-year-old who looks so physically ready for the highest level but he's absolutely there.

FT: These games are never easy but we got over the line. Fair play to Mansfield who made things difficult (on a horrible pitch) but some quality from Madueke and Eze made the difference.

Dowman very exciting, Hincapie strong, but some almost comedic performances in the attacking third.

Why did Saka slow down there?

I'm not bothered. I think it's great that he (and Salmon) feel confident enough to try things.

HT: Very scrappy but something quite enjoyable about this. Mansfield giving us a good game, it's messy, physical and the pitch is awful but Madueke with a good finish to put Arsenal ahead.

Dowman glides across the ground - beautiful to watch. Could've scored a couple himself.
