Despite getting the all clear on the Brook this morning, the rain today has caused another issue. It has been reported to the EA. The water is discoloured but it's not clear why.

We recommend keeping out of the water for the time-being.

WPCC are delighted to announce that All Star Tennis has been appointed to run the Putney Lower Common tennis courts. Woodchip from our tree safety work is available for you to collect. You'll need to bring your own equipment. It's free but the charity that cares for the Commons is grateful for your donations. Every donation helps care for this wonderful place including its 290 hectares of woodland habitat.

VISITOR INFO - BEVERLEY BROOK, WIMBLEDON COMMON

The Brook is currently running higher than expected and is slightly discoloured. It has been reported to the Environment Agency. Until the situation is resolved, we suggest keeping yourselves and your dogs out of the Brook. We will keep you updated.

Reminder! Conservators’ Annual Open Meeting – Wed 18 June, 8pm at Sacred Heart Church, SW19 4LU. Conservators will present their accounts and reports on what’s been happening on the Commons, what’s planned next, and to put your questions to the Board. All welcome!

POSSIBLE BLUE-GREEN ALGAE - SCIO POND
There is evidence of a Blue-Green Algae Bloom in SCIO POND on Putney Heath. These blooms can produce harmful toxins and we therefore advise that ALL DOGS BE KEPT OUT OF THE WATER for their own safety.

IMPORTANT REMINDER FOR DOG-WALKERS
Wildfowl are nesting in and around the Commons' ponds and we'd like to remind all dog walkers to keep their charges out of the water to help protect them. At Queensmere, dogs must be on a lead in a large area around the pond. Thank you!
