One last post about KC LGBTQIA Pride Fest. I did not see any #UMKC presence there. The university did not participate from what I can see. In the past - LGBTQIA programs had a booth.

3. At the Quaker table at KC LGBTQIA Pride Fest, I met folks from central Kansas that were happy to see a Quaker presence. Most Quakers in Kansas affiliate with Mid-America Yearly Meeting which is not LGBTQIA welcoming. Thus, I think this was a successful out Queer Quaker experience.

2. I only knew 2 songs that I heard from the stage:
a badly off-key version of Chappell Roan's "Pink Pony Club" and Charli XCX's "I Love It" which made everyone dance. In my time at Pride Fest I did not hear "You Make Me Feel Mighty Real" or any Ten City songs.

Signs that I am an older cis-gnder gay man that sat at the Quaker outreach table at KC LGBTQIA Pride Fest:
1) It was so loouddd. and this was just in the afternoon.

There are other early Wilburite takes on Gurney from US Yearly Meetings. Interested if Gurney was consistent in noting the insufficiency? I'm just a casual reader of Friends theology. I'm curious to see what you find in more systematic study.
