Dude that's incredible. Those UVs look off but absolutely blown away that someone actually managed to complete the series. Well done, and thank you for sharing!

Thanks! I really appreciate that. Still going to do some shader tutorials for sure, but yeah it feels good to be teaching 3d in general again.

Yes, by naming your objects like "cables.lp, cables.hp", "lever.lp, lever.hp" it will know how to handle them, also a checkbox to bake them to one texture if you intend them to be on the same sheet.
You can also create a third "[object].cage" and it will use that as the cage mesh automatically too.
Also, if you wanted an alternative. I use TexTools a lot to do bakes in Blender. UcuPaint is great but TexTools makes baking super friendly.

09.09.2025 10:33 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0I've been away for many years, many life changes, new additions to the family. But I will be returning to youtube once more, this time focused on more Blender related content. But I will still absolutely be covering Unity and some shader work again.

First post intro: I'm a professional games artist with more years than I can count (I'm not good at math) under my belt. I have a YouTube channel dedicated to helping others learn about game art. I have primarily focused on shaders and VFX in Unity up until now.
