Backgrounds are HARD, and let's be honest - most of us want to focus on the figure.

But backgrounds help tell the story of our characters, and they shouldn't be neglected. That doesn't mean we have to start by drawing huge, hyper-detailed scenes for our characters from scratch.

I don’t trust the process: when my skills won’t reach my expectations I’m so discouraged that I give up even though I’m aware that you need to draw a lot and often to get better.
