C'est donc avec plaisir que je relaie l'appel à contribution aux philosophes pour un numéro que Christophe Point coordonne pour la revue Ethique en Education et en Formation (EEF).

Ce semestre je donne mon séminaire d'éthique à destination des enseignants du primaire à l'université de Genève. Le tout nouveau "Manuel d'éthique professionnelle pour l'enseignement du primaire" de Christophe Point, figure en bonne place dans la bibliographie.

Random #HEMA Internet find Pt 4 - the New Academy, and lessons from Mr. Vodromont, Master of Arms, in four parts, including parries and ripostes from single to double, Explanations in Questions and Answers, how to place a student and train him in a very short time and without the slightest fatigue.

In a month's time there will be a one-day IHRIM/NOTCOM workshop in Lyon on #Cartesianism and the #historyofideas. I will be discussing #Descartes on #fencing and also, as the background of the poster suggests, Descartes' opinion of #GirardThibault d'Anvers (spoiler: he doesn't like it)

Last weekend I gave a workshop on Angelo Viggiani's #fencing treatise in the Challenge Athéna, magnificently organised by the Compagnie d'Armes de Lyon: a two days event for #women in #HEMA, with workshops and a small tournament. It was great and we need more of this.

As former co-editor of the Journal Studia Philosophica, I have noticed a similar tendency: The authors of the reviews tend to be at the two extremes of the academic social scale: PhD Students/Junior postdocs vs Full/Emeritus Professors
