3 was the Green Umbrella. Every piece was amazing, but the cello βetudeβ by Dylan Mattingly was my favorite. Many of the audience lost their homes, including the woman next to me and several sitting nearby. A somber evening made better with music and community.

Concert #2 was the LA Phil. Highlight was the encore: an arrangement of the finale of the Firebird (remember that one, WHS bandmates?) for piano. Brilliant pianist Alexandre Kantarow.

3 concerts this weekend. Number 1 was Los Lobos. I was definitely on the young side of the audience which was a pleasure. The music was beautiful and nostalgia-inducing. Number 2 nextβ¦
