The election was the night of my daughters prom and I did a lot of driving to after parties whilst listening to the election coverage. I read a biography of Edward R Murrow 'With Heroic Truth' and it moved me to tears. Murrow was a fearless journalist who saw it as his moral duty to speak truth to power. He was also a throughly decent person. I wish he was here now. I hope journalists will take courage from him and his legacy
