They strike Venezuelan boats indiscriminately. They're running full-on propaganda ads. ICE officers shoot pepper spray at politicians, run people's legs over with cars, and maul them with dogs. They changed the name of the DOD to THE DEPARTMENT OF WAR.

Imagine being 79, everyone on the planet knows the dysfunctional shape of your dick, and then you have to become President just to stay out of prison. Dude's not gonna be able to rest until he's dead and his victims will always be in the back of his mind even when he's farting around a golf course.

Cosmic Invasion is pretty close to what I thought video games in the future would look like when I was a kid. I would kill for an MvC sequel in this style.

I need to turn in my tinfoil hat. I'm beginning to believe Trump's ballroom actually is just a ballroom (for funneling bribe money, but that part goes without saying). It really is the kind of scheme that a dumb, dying real estate tycoon would hatch to desperately curry favor w/ future historians.

Him, Rutger Hauer, and Malcolm McDowell all seemed to share a "nothing is beneath me" attitude. On the other hand, David Warner was a guy who sometimes looked perplexed when he was cast in certain movies, but I like him just as much as the other guys so hey, whatever works.

This is what I was rockin' on Saturn. Membrane joystick, but I was a kid so I thought, "Nah, it's not the controller. I just need to git gud...."

I bought mine before Combo Breaker '23. I didn't want to carry a fight stick through airport security and I've never gotten the hang of attack buttons on bumpers/triggers. Saturn had the best gamepad, Dreamcast had the best official fight stick. 8bitdo's M30 is fantastic too.

The collection of strips would be called Cash Marone: The Latter Years, as it would only deal with the run of strips leading to its eventual cancellation. The chain-smoking artist would end up selling aluminum siding and die of a heart attack a few years later.

20.11.2025 04:08 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

The introduction to the collection, written by an equally fictional colleague, would note: "[The artist] had already proven he wasn't adverse to change; in the 50s he had Cash trade in his trademark Tommy gun for an Uzi and swapped out his sedan for a motorcycle, perhaps influenced by The Wild One."

I still jot down notes about the fictional artist's biography. He trained as a technical illustrator, fell into newspaper strips, and created a character, Cash Marone, who was popular in the 50s. Initially he found the work beneath him, but had a change of heart as the strip's popularity waned.

I've long had an idea for a comic strip that maybe 7 people in the world would dig. I would be drawing it as a fictional artist who's desperately trying to keep his old fashioned character (think Dick Tracy or The Spirit) relevant in the 60s. But I have often tried and failed to draw in his style.

I love cartoons and I love politics, but I hate most political cartoons, especially the ones that appear in stuffy grown-up publications. It just seems like easy mode... there's no need for a laugh if your target affiliation agrees with it.

And don't even get me started on Doonesbury. πŸ’€

Somehow I got it in my head that Nolan's The Odyssey was going to be a science fiction movie along the lines of Inception and Tenet. It didn't occur to me it's literally Homer's Odyssey until I saw the first images release. Now I'm bummed the film I was building up in my head will not exist.
