I bought mine before Combo Breaker '23. I didn't want to carry a fight stick through airport security and I've never gotten the hang of attack buttons on bumpers/triggers. Saturn had the best gamepad, Dreamcast had the best official fight stick. 8bitdo's M30 is fantastic too.

I still jot down notes about the fictional artist's biography. He trained as a technical illustrator, fell into newspaper strips, and created a character, Cash Marone, who was popular in the 50s. Initially he found the work beneath him, but had a change of heart as the strip's popularity waned.

I've long had an idea for a comic strip that maybe 7 people in the world would dig. I would be drawing it as a fictional artist who's desperately trying to keep his old fashioned character (think Dick Tracy or The Spirit) relevant in the 60s. But I have often tried and failed to draw in his style.

I love cartoons and I love politics, but I hate most political cartoons, especially the ones that appear in stuffy grown-up publications. It just seems like easy mode... there's no need for a laugh if your target affiliation agrees with it.

And don't even get me started on Doonesbury. 💤

Somehow I got it in my head that Nolan's The Odyssey was going to be a science fiction movie along the lines of Inception and Tenet. It didn't occur to me it's literally Homer's Odyssey until I saw the first images release. Now I'm bummed the film I was building up in my head will not exist.

I need the full context... is this the one where it's raining and there's a hole in the roof so he extends an umbrella through it?
