Even when 90s mid-budget thrillers are kinda bad (e.g., Pacific Heights, The Crush, Unlawful Entry) they're so damn good. One of my favorites is Guilty as Sin even though it's kind of "tawdry lite." Don Johnson is such an over-the-top prick in it.

I've got an older customer who found out I don't watch football and it really triggers her. Several interactions have gone like this: "Did you see the game last—oh wait, I forgot you don't watch football." Which is often followed by an eye roll.

I actually just learned the term a few months ago and it made me feel better knowing it has a name.

I don't think I played a Sega Rally game until part 2 so I'm going Daytona as it's the game I remember playing the most on Saturn other than maybe Virtua Cop. Eventually, I got Virtua Racing on Saturn, the gameplay of which paled to the 32X version even though it had a lot more content IIRC.

Yeah! I liked how there were a bunch of background gags to do the worldbuilding. 1990s HBO would just randomly premiere movies like this and they were almost always watchable if not downright good. There's a sequel with Dennis Hopper replacing Fred Ward, but I haven't seen that one yet.

I think the reason I stuck with Bluesky is because it wasn't a bunch of people sitting around, posting content from the site we had all just left, endlessly asking, "You think this will ever catch on with the masses??"

And here I thought this trauma had been successfully buried. I also went through three of 'em. I never opened mine, but I did try the "wrap it in a towel" trick the first or second time. At one point I was considering what was the "safe temperature" to put it in the oven before reason prevailed.
