Smudge's faaaavourite thing in the world is plastic springs, but he shoves them under the stove just so he can try fishing them back out. Inevitably, they all get lost under there! So for his bday, I dug them all out & put them in a gift bag with tissue paper, knowing he'd lose his mind!

When we adopted Smudge, no one knew his bday. I deduced he was born in July, based on his deceased previous owner's Instagram, so I chose July 1st as his bday at his 1st vet appointment. He turned 2 last month, so @harryfrombarrie.bsky.social and I got him gifts & a special dinner! We even sang! 😊😸

Smudge LOVES chasing & retrieving plastic springs from the dollar store! We wake up with springs on our pillows in the morning! He also shoves them under the stove so he can play around trying to fish them out! But he is unsuccessful 90% of the time & loses them...😾😂

Smudge is a highland lynx & his ears are smaller than a normal cat's. They're made of hard cartilage & they not only always stick straight up, but they curl slightly toward the back! This is a "feature" of the breed...but it means his ears get VERY dirty & require constant cleaning!
