I love brewing but I rarely get a chance to play anymore unfortunately.

I had a really sweet BUG Sphinx of the Chimes deck back in RTR standard that I even got to top 8 a GPQ with, I think I still have my Foil playset of sphinxes somewhere.

I got a set of WCD tombs basically as a trade throw in in 2019 and now even those are like $40...

It's not the first time I hear people voicing this concern as a reason to not try #mtgpremodern. The format however has existed for years and there is constant innovation and new archetypes popping up. Also, the metagame is overall super balanced and you often see tier 2 or lower decks in top 8s.

Broccoli Soup and Quiet Oath are both fairly new decks in the format. Turtle Splash was a brand new combo deck like 2 years ago. There's still decks being found.
