Top album. Say yes, Angeles and Between the Bars all top tracks regularly on my playlists.

Given few opportunities lately to get up to the Whitby coast it was great today to get a couple of hours there. Yellow-Browed Warbler at Kettleness the highlight plus plenty of Redwings, Blackbirds and Goldcrests. Plus 2 Blackcap and 2 Chiffs still around.

A walk around Trevose Head in Cornwall yesterday with stunning views all the way around. 2 each of Clouded Yellows, Painted Lady, Red Admiral and Small Tortoishell plus lots of whites and a Rush Veneer Moth. 5 Wheatear along the cliffs and 2 confiding Chough by the lighthouse. Beautiful spot.

In Padstow for the week and just arrived tonight. Didn’t bring moth trap but this one landed on me in the house. Madder Pearl (Mecyna Asinalis) I believe, a new moth for me. #teammoth

Always nice to get Garganey in the spring with this pair at Filey Dams yesterday. Very early Hobby high over Wykeham Lakes and Merlin very low through Potter Brompton. Also good to see Wheatear finally back on Levisham Moor this evening. @northyorksbirds.bsky.social #yorkshirebirding

Long staying Red-Necked Grebe still at Wykeham Lakes today. Plenty of Crossbills in the woodlands and Dipper in Dalby. Male Pintail was an unusual visitor to Staindale Lake, Dalby. #northyorksbirds #ukbirding @nybirdnews.bsky.social

Superb birding yesterday at Tophill Low for the Michael Clegg bird race. 92 species total for the day. C and GW Egrets, SEO, Jack Snipe, Bearded Tit the highlights. So much invested in locating Feral Pigeon at the end! 😂 Thanks to @ornid.bsky.social, @paulnewton61.bsky.social @leelj337.bsky.social

Will gauge that as the day goes on. Forecast ok for now, but if changes will keep an eye on it.

Yep hopefully slightly fewer steps, more shelter and more birds. Good to be heading/sliding down your way this year to kickstart the birding year!

No sign of the Arctic Warbler at Saltwick, Whitby this afternoon but this low flying Great White Egret following the coast south was some compensation. #ukbirding #yorkshirebirding

A morning at Kettleness started with Ring Ouzel amongst decent numbers of Blackbird, Song Thrush and Redwing. Then whilst scoping a small group of Terns from the cliff top, a Red-Rumped Swallow flew past in the scope foreground! Birding always needs a nice dose of luck! #yorkshirebirding #ukbirding

Plenty of pictures of Yellow-Browed Warblers out there but here are a couple more. Cracking day at Kettleness at the weekend with at least 8 plus a Pied Flycatcher in a small area of sycamores. @patchbirding.bsky.social #ukbirding

A misty morning at Kettleness with easterlies always feels rare. 3 Yellow-Browed Warblers the best of it, 25+ Chiffchaffs with all kinds of calls and a Willow Warbler best of the rest. 8 Pinkfeet flew out to sea and plenty of Goldcrests. Definitely more to find out there. #ukbirding

This Neglected Rustic was a garden first for me, given where I live in Lockton (VC62) not a complete surprise.
