I've seen comments along the lines of why did the police not shoot the perpetrators of the #Huntingdon atrocity, because it's cheaper to kill them straight away than keep them 50 in gaol.

Turns out, that may not have been a good idea...

β€œThe Great Gatsby” published in 1925, takes place during the Roaring ’20s and explores the moral decay of the rich.

I’ve made it to Trimley. Not a whole lot here expect a lovely running-in board and the branch line into Felixstowe port. Hope a train to Ipswich in about half and hour and maybe a freight train first.

Minority representation on TV causes outrage

There has been widespread support for prominent Reform MP
Sarah Pochin after she complained about the over-representation of minorities on television.
Said one angry viewer, "She's right. Every time you turn on the telly there's another Reform MP being interviewed by Laura Kuenssberg."
She added, "I respect their way of life and their strange customs, but Reform MPs comprise only 0.7 percent of the House of Commons. Yet Nigel Farage is on Question Time more than Fiona Bruce."
"I'm not prejudiced. Some of my best friends are swivel-eyed loons, but enough is enough.
There are too many people with angry red faces on television.”

Stupidity and royal self-entitlement sank Andrew, and it may not be over yet Indulged by his mother and ignored for too long by his siblings, it is behaviour like Andrew’s that could ultimately kill the monarchy

Quite the sign off for this article β€œUltimately it is entitlement, self-seeking and indolence that will kill the monarchy. In his stupidity, self-indulgence and venality, Andrew seems never to have learned that lesson.”

I was accidentally more flippant than intended once but pleased. Present was badly over-time, I said he had to skip to the conclusion slide; he said that the next two slides were the most important and without thinking I said that then perhaps they shouldn't be slides 32 and 33 in 15 minute talk.

UK laws and traditions continue to be both rigid and flexible at the same time. Until yesterday I have read numerous times that the title prince could not be removed, as that denotes the son of a queen/king. And then - just like that - it was removed by the King.
