I've heard condemnation by UK officials of Iran's actions (do they expect them just to sit there and get pummelled without firing back?) but no direct public criticism of the actions of the US and Israel which are blatantly illegal.
If they get no pushback, they will do it again somewhere else.

The UK official position is that there was no legal basis for starting this attack on Iran. That is right.
But there has to be more diplomatic pressure on the US/Israel to end it soon to minimise civilian casualties in Iran and stop the wrecking of global economies.

I think Starmer has got it dead right in the UK approach to what's happening in Iran.
But I would like to see more overt criticism of what the US & Israel has done. The disgusting school bombing, sinking of an unarmed ship & destruction of key infrastructure. That's all wrong & should be condemned.

Davey demands a guarantee against a fictitious amount from a war of unknown length.

I'm sure Zelensky is really enjoying this karmic moment of countries who have held Ukraine at arms length for years all of a sudden wanting to be best buds. I'm sure he'd enjoy it even more if this new friendliness came with cash & commitments to help them stop Russia/Irans war against Ukraine.

Biden got hammered every day by likes of CNN for *any* tiny increases (1 cent/gallon) in gas prices. It was nowt to do with Biden but global economies reacting to Covid and its aftermath. It was 1 reason Trump got re-elected.
Now Trump has personally caused a huge spike in price, media will shrug.

They should be getting absolutely hammered by the likes of @bbcnewsnight.bsky.social & @news.sky.com for their total misjudgement of this from the off.
How could they ever be trusted to lead the country on anything if they blundered so badly on this, and all just to please Trump.

Farage & Badenoch's (and much of the UK press's) thirst for joining in with Trump's unfolding disaster in Iran is a decision of historically bad proportions.
Their 'judgement' of why the UK should join in with an illegal attack which is tanking the global economy should receive much media derision.
