Do something nice for yourself every day.
Enjoy a fancy coffee, take a little walk, or craft a den of twigs & wildflowers in the old forest, retreat inside, and sleep for 1,000 years in mossy peace.
Trans people are under attack.
They are trying to make them going out in public illegal.
They are taking away their licenses.
If you cannot see that the moment you unpeople one demographic, you create a gray area for every other demographic, you're beyond hope.
Trans rights are human rights.

05.12.2025 23:47 β π 38 π 6 π¬ 0 π 0Craven Dunnill Jackfield produced 70 different tiles: 11,835 hand-made encaustic in varying patterns and sizes, and 36,862 hand-cut geometric tiles plus lettering tiles in Pugin's typeface. Kevin Doonan Architects created the designs using traditional encaustic patterns from our archive catalogue; we then generated over 50 scaled CAD technical drawings, translating the design into a workable floor plan. 03.03.2026 15:11 β π 633 π 101 π¬ 112 π 12Eleanor Collins is shown in a black-and-white studio portrait. She is turned slightly to her left while looking toward the camera with a soft expression. Her hair is styled short and neatly shaped, and she wears small, round earrings. She is dressed in a light-colored blouse with a wide, open collar. A smooth studio backdrop appears behind her, with a distinct shadow cast to one side.
On this day in 2024, Eleanor Collins died.
Born in 1919 in Edmonton, she was known as Canada's First Lady of Jazz. She was the first Canadian woman and the first Black entertainer in Canada, to have her own national television show (The Eleanor Show in 1955).

Is this desert flower (sun cup, Camissonia sp.) small? Yes, under 2cm. Is this bee (maybe Lasioglossum sp.?) even smaller? Yes, 5-6mm (zoom in!). To get a blue sky background behind a plant under 15cm. tall, did I have to lie sideways on the ground and get sand in my ear? Also yes.
