Where you've seen me post openly, I have some trust with people who read my posts. And many people have background knowledge about me. Here, I worry about (a) career implications since there is no safeguard, and (b) the potential to be misunderstood by people who don't know me.

I rarely comment here. I know that any social media site is largely a product of our own making, but I rarely see things that make for good conversation starters. And, I'm hesitant to post as openly here as I do elsewhere since there is no privacy or "friends" option.

I have no real ties to either university but longstanding respect for both. I grew up a University of Pittsburgh fan, and I now teach at West Virginia University.

Keep all. I don't want to bash anyone here, and I get tired of discourse where we tend to bash one legend in order to lift up another. I have a real soft spot for both Stevie Wonder and Prince in particular but I don't want to bash anyone here, I also grew up on each person's music.

The Scott version is classic and I don't want my comment to seem to knock it. But I like the way Steward portrays the emotions - the pathos- of the character.

I still believe the best advocates for teaching are the teachers themselves. This country should be doing everything possible not just to support teaching, but also to bolster the whole profession.

It's not about raising standards, but raising the floor. America needs to listen.

Agreed, I do like the franchise overall. But I critique even things I like. Maybe that's sometimes an annoying habit.

Hotel Del Luna is popular. But I also like the singing of IU. I have no idea if it is on Netflix.

It's hard to get past the racism in that one episode of season one (actually multiple episodes were pretty problematic). Season one was a serious mess.

I used to love collecting lots of books. My mother was a librarian so I like being surrounded by books. But in my last two moves I lost thousands of boos. So now I'll go electronic. It's not as comfortable or enjoyable.

I have more hope for Millennial than Gen X, and I'm Gen X.

Hate to break it to you but Gen X leaned conservative and MAGA. We're a divided generation and you've got people like me who are on the left. But there's a ton of MAGA in Gen X. Lots of "Bro-Culture". Maybe it was too much Rambo.

Two points. Number 1, sounds disgusting. But number 2, if the office co-worker or any co-workers can identify this post as specifically referring to them, I'm not wild about the shaming aspect. Shaming co-workers on the internet for something like this is toxic even if people enjoy the humor.

I had a Nokia. I wasn't trying to be cool, it did what it had to do. It made calls.

I blocked everyone who I believe to be spam (a fake account).

So, there is one flaw on Bluesky. Spam followers. Nothing new, I realize that's common across social media and happened on the other place which shall not be named too.

I doubt many people know that plot about Luthor. I did not. I thought of him as someone who is extremely power hungry, driven to extremes by a lust for power. I imagine multiple versions of the mythology have multiple versions of his motives.

Enjoyed a celebration dinner tonight with student teachers at West Virginia University, all passed the EdTPA with flying colors and they are preparing to enter the teaching profession.
