Musk inadvertently rolled out a good idea on twitter and it blew up in his face.

I actually think in terms of combatting mis-information, including an accounts operating location is a good idea.

It could possibly be something that is only restricted to news accounts and could even be regulated.

The matter with government locations being reported as overseas is a good point. There was one which was reported as based in Israel. That could just be because an official with access to the account posted from Israel doing some work there. I do think most of Twitter is just Russian bots though.
