in 5v5 xGF%, it’s caufield (54.86%). suzuki and dach are the only other forwards over 50%.

on defense, it’s hutson but he’s only at 46.47%.

holy shit vegas is bad. hill with one of the worst efforts on a clean shot this year.

it’s so stunning because there was no on ramp. it was 14 years of complete ineptitude and then they all just rolled out of bed one day and decided they were good. it’s wild.

idk what the habs pre scouting meetings were like when it came to covering celebrini but it would have been nice to see a bit more of what guhle was doing at the beginning of this video. i remember watching that shift last night thinking it was the only time they made life hard for the kid.

they have scored the first goal in 34 of their 60 games so far. only 7 teams have scored the first goal more often. they should have a lot of practice in these situations and yet they don’t seem to be improving.

the habs have the 9th worst winning percentage when scoring first. they are the lowest among all teams currently in a playoff spot. only 7 teams in the league have more losses after scoring the first goal. it’s not just late game collapses. they can’t hold a lead period.

fun game, but a lot of regression to some stuff we really cannot afford to be seeing at this point in the season. they have to play a more mature game than this.

i am willing to excuse the first time gaudette falls and takes out dobes. that one can’t be allowed.

you can’t expect to be able to do it all the time. unless you’re a team playing the canadiens, then you can comeback from anything. in the 8 periods since the return to play, they’ve blown the lead 4 times.

obviously still another period to change the script, but getting kind of tired of this being the script. hold a lead for once. just one time.

just a really disappointing effort from most of the habs tonight. no attention to detail. poor execution. really not good on a night where everyone else in the division won.
