Try to take him out when he wakes up in the morning or right after eating or when you know he wants to do it according to his routine.
Have an amazing treat ready for when he does and throw him a party to reinforce the behaviour!
That's how I trained mine when she wouldn't do it outside!

Do more purposeful studies and review fundamentals especially when it comes to drawing.
Try to focus on certain themes and vibes so that it is easier to just sit down and paint a new piece
Also continue to lean into traditional mediums
