I've been trying out greyscale over the past few years - in a laughable effort to maybe shave a bit of time off my process (takes longer usually)

It’s important to know what forbidden geometry’s they are standing on to get that pose and composition

Nothing is better than Liam Nelson’s retinue in kingdom of heaven - like hell yeah , he’s been to places

ah but then we wouldn't cut the creatives out of the process, which makes the whole thing pointless

Always hilarious to see ppl realize that even the most benign piece of media is the outcome of many many hours work and decision making, and slopping loads of shit together with no direction somehow doesn't quite feel the same - probably spent more on this than a normal ad

I always thought better call Saul was a bit much ado about nothing sometimes

I like how the film title is almost inperceivable, and it just looks like it says ‘Brad Pitt - the movie’

Yeah it was good, felt that it would have been better if it had a narrative running through

The Electric State in particular is a good example of this need by the industry to remove the artist from the art, reducing it to 'vibe' background images with no substance, while uncreative people try to create something for an uncreative & uncaring demographic

also filmmakers - a planet being destroyed is a money shot, it's what I watch stuff for - and you scimp on it like some made for TV movie would

Watched the new Fantastic Four last night - amazing how much style over substance it was - like 80% of the energy went into the psuedo-retro costume/interior design, but then the Galactus stuff looked odd and had murky CGI

Does anyone know if it’s possible to get the apple mail app to give you notifications on iPhone when it gets mail? Like every other mail app?! Tried some of the more obvious ’fixes’, no luck So far

I think now espicially, the English public's general mindset is a lot more unhinged since about 15 years ago - due to social media poisoning - there's just no way of knowing how mental people are now until you see what the algorithm is pushing them from over their shoulder

almost every action the jury took would have got the case dismissed about 5 times, but the decision in the end was right? hard to say what the moral of the story is

So are Jury's always necessary? Probably not - but them being there does have an effect on how cases are presented

to top it all off, I got a bladder infection for the first & only time in my life and very nearly pissed myself in the stands - oh & the brexiter? was the only one to want a guilty verdict (defendant was black) so judge decided instead - then after trial he said 'yeah he was definitely innocent'

the case was so convoluted and boring, and had a 'secret' that we couldn't ask about - the secret? the accused couldn't stand trial because she was dying (??!) so they (police) just accused one of her victims of the crime instead??!

I remember when I was on Jury duty - one of the jurors couldn't speak English, a jury brexiter went to the scene of the crime to 'investigate' (when explicitly told not to), & a bunch of housewives created a miniature mumsnet hivemind to create ludicrous scenarios - and thats just the jury
