If you indeed think permitting reform can remove the state - especially an GOP admin - from attacking clean energy then I have no idea why I would believe you when you say that you have learned. Why on earth would you believe this after what you've seen the past 6 months?

"actual solutions" is hilarious. "Actual solutions" for whom? Certainly not the communities located in fossil fuel sacrifice zones. Greg I invite you to go to Cancer Alley or along the Houston ship channel and tell folks what you think should happen and see if they agree with your chosen policies

Its insane to me how little people have learned. I was hopeful that once people saw the BBB with its outright attacks on clean energy they would understand what was happening but apparently not. I'm not sure how it can get any clearer that they do not want a free market.

Of course, but the point is that we're not in a free market are we? They've got their thumb on the scale in favor of fossil in a huge way. Its the same song and dance we heard with the IRA. They are going to do everything they can to push fossils regardless of the market.

Yeah, this is key. The VRA doesn’t just say districts have to be majority-minority. They have to actually succeed at electing minorities’ candidates of choice.

I see they learned nothing in the last few months. How did they witness the last bill, the insane actions on coal, and the endangerment repeal attempt and then think that tweet was correct. Just insane.

I don't expect people who are legit MAGA to change their views at any point but especially not after everything we've seen. The NWS isn't going to affect that. They are irrational people who don't acknowledge reality most of the time. But they aren't the target.

This is spot on and it's also important to understand how ideologically driven certain cohorts are on clean energy now. Clean energy's allies are clear as day and they need to work together with those groups!

Not at all a coincidence that this type of clean-energy comms - which presents a positive case in forceful terms rather than trying to dance around the issue - is coming almost exclusively from non-US firms. The comparison tells us a lot about why the IRA failed. More below:

Part me feels like these institutions keep thinking they just need to survive until a Dem president or even a Dem Congress but do they not understand that each capitulation makes it so much harder for anyone to survive? It's a stupid feedback loop!

Y'all I am dumb. I just made a series a posts that were so wrong because I was looking at a wrong map.

The EPA accounting around this repeal is merely through a narrow economic lens. Providing information that undermines that ridiculous framing is extremely valuable to the record.
