02.08.2025 21:15 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Responsible is doing a lot of work there. After 6 months of blantant illegal actions and institutions caving I don't have it in me to believe in the courts.
02.08.2025 02:48 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0These are the people some of you think you can negotiate a bill that will favor clean energy over fossil fuels? Absolutely delusional.
02.08.2025 02:23 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I'm happy he's leaving on top but it will be so weird watching Spurs without him. He stuck around and finished the job when Kane left. Absolute legend. Gives me a reason to care about MLS I guess.
02.08.2025 02:16 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0If you indeed think permitting reform can remove the state - especially an GOP admin - from attacking clean energy then I have no idea why I would believe you when you say that you have learned. Why on earth would you believe this after what you've seen the past 6 months?
01.08.2025 21:35 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0"actual solutions" is hilarious. "Actual solutions" for whom? Certainly not the communities located in fossil fuel sacrifice zones. Greg I invite you to go to Cancer Alley or along the Houston ship channel and tell folks what you think should happen and see if they agree with your chosen policies
01.08.2025 21:32 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Its insane to me how little people have learned. I was hopeful that once people saw the BBB with its outright attacks on clean energy they would understand what was happening but apparently not. I'm not sure how it can get any clearer that they do not want a free market.
01.08.2025 19:49 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Of course, but the point is that we're not in a free market are we? They've got their thumb on the scale in favor of fossil in a huge way. Its the same song and dance we heard with the IRA. They are going to do everything they can to push fossils regardless of the market.
01.08.2025 19:47 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 2 π 0βCalifornia, the fourth largest economy on planet Earth, is this summer using 40 percent less natural gas than it did two years ago to generate electricity.
If you wanna know why the fossil fuel industry is freaking out and sponsoring every bad politician on Earth, that's why.β
Yeah, this is key. The VRA doesnβt just say districts have to be majority-minority. They have to actually succeed at electing minoritiesβ candidates of choice.
01.08.2025 16:26 β π 56 π 13 π¬ 0 π 0I see they learned nothing in the last few months. How did they witness the last bill, the insane actions on coal, and the endangerment repeal attempt and then think that tweet was correct. Just insane.
01.08.2025 14:34 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 2 π 0I don't expect people who are legit MAGA to change their views at any point but especially not after everything we've seen. The NWS isn't going to affect that. They are irrational people who don't acknowledge reality most of the time. But they aren't the target.

This is spot on and it's also important to understand how ideologically driven certain cohorts are on clean energy now. Clean energy's allies are clear as day and they need to work together with those groups!

31.07.2025 20:36 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Not at all a coincidence that this type of clean-energy comms - which presents a positive case in forceful terms rather than trying to dance around the issue - is coming almost exclusively from non-US firms. The comparison tells us a lot about why the IRA failed. More below:

WE ACTβs @manuelsalgado.bsky.social stood with @markey.senate.gov to say: we wonβt back down. The science is clear. The people are louder. EPA must protect usβnot polluters.
Part me feels like these institutions keep thinking they just need to survive until a Dem president or even a Dem Congress but do they not understand that each capitulation makes it so much harder for anyone to survive? It's a stupid feedback loop!
31.07.2025 01:49 β π 2 π 1 π¬ 0 π 0NEW: i spoke to nine (!) scientists across several disciplines whose work was cited in the new Department of Energy report that downplays the severity of climate change. all of them say their work was misrepresented, cherry picked, and/or lacked context β

30.07.2025 15:28 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0The EPA accounting around this repeal is merely through a narrow economic lens. Providing information that undermines that ridiculous framing is extremely valuable to the record.
