After a childhood in the Catholic Church I am not a practicing Christian but it is always striking to me how poorly these people understand Jesus.

A real bummer but its probably not going to happen in NC4. There are great results tonight, but this is definitely a disappointment. We need results like this to change the make up of Congress.

Listen the Dallas county situation is bullshit along the lines TX always pulls causing vote chaos but the campaigns knew about this for MONTHS. How do you not prepare your constituents on where to vote? Its GOTV 101!!!! Its a big self own if you need Dallas county to win.

NC 4 a bit closer now. Hoping some good areas in Durham left!

Wow: In the early vote, it's a blow-out *so far*.

Rodney Sadler, the progessive pastor and activist, leads state Representative Carla Cunningham 75% to 18%.

(Stay tuned as we see how the Election Day vote compares, but that's an ominous start for the incumbent.)

Oh: we just got the first populous county away from the Dallas-Fort Worth area: Williamson County. And Talarico won the early vote 72% to 27% here.

Cornyn, again with a strong performance here.

It's a question of understanding how to reach people where they are at. Maybe people are not talking about degrees celsius, GHG, emissions, etc. But, it is not far from, "I hate my utility and my bills are high," to, "more renewables and different ownership structures would be good for me."

No, they are both running for Senate. Crockett decide not to run for the House this time and instead tossed her name into the Senate race after Talarico was already in the race for awhile. Her seat was redistricted in the new map. I think both are capable candidates!

Rubio screwed up Sunday by saying the quiet part out loud. Then shit hit the fan - especially with MAGA. It caused problems for Netanyahu. Now he’s trying to say that what he said he didn’t really say. It’s on video. He said what he said. Now he’s lying. bsky.app/profile/acyn...

Secretary Rubio's remarks indicate that Israel put U.S. forces in harm's way by insisting on attacking Iran. And the administration was complicitβ€”joining their war instead of talking them down.

This is unacceptable of the President, and unacceptable of a country that calls itself our ally.

Do you have any estimates for the co-pollutants alongside the GHG emissions? I've seen the SELC estimates for NOx but if your analysis had any insight into that aspect of this I think it would be incredibly valuable as well. (This is already great, just have specific public health concerns too!)

Netanyahu so clearly wanted Trump to win and rejected any attempts at a ceasefire because (1) he wants genocide and (2) he wanted the war going on through the 2024 election.

Democrats need to realize that he wants them to fail. Biden refused to believe it and enabled him instead.

I work in a policy space where we’ve been actively begging dems not to engage and while we definitely have some policy folks against our positions we’ve found plenty of support for that position among ngos and elected officials at the federal level. YMMV

➀ It recorded that children, women, and the elderly make up 47.2% of those killed during the β€œceasefire.”

➀ It documents 1,856 Israeli field violations, averaging 13.5 violations per day, including live fire, drone strikes, artillery shelling, demolitions, and naval gunfire.

➀ The most severe violations, according to the report, concern aid. The ceasefire requires 600 trucks per day, including 50 fuel trucks. The document states that only 43.2% (260 of 600 agreed trucks) have entered overall, and just 15.1% of required fuel.

➀ It accuses Israel of providing β€œmisleading figures” to mediators and refusing independent monitoring, calling the fuel restrictions a deliberate obstruction of recovery and basic services.

➀ Only 1,753 of 4,200 scheduled travelers were allowed to pass through Rafah in both directions β€” a compliance rate of just 41.7%.

The report concludes that the violations form a β€œcontinuous and systematic pattern” that has stripped the ceasefire of practical substance.

Right and I agree with you on the policy front but there are areas that they need to work with trump that are not just legislation. It needs to be rare and selective af but a blanket refusal to do anything at all with trump is not ideal imo.

Saying "it's a distraction" is saying you care nothing for the little girls bombed out of existence for being born where they were.

Epstein, ICE, Iran - all of it - are Crimes against Humanity by the MAGA Murder Regime.

Praying for the people of Iran and an end to this hell.
