Thermodynamic Computing Promises Energy-Efficient AI Images
What if AI could create stunning images with a fraction of the energy used today?
Fascinating. The training of diffusion models used to generate AI imagery requires enormous amounts of random information. But generating random numbers using normal chips uses huge amounts of energy. Random numbers can be generated in *much* more efficient ways.

Our son is the only one in his class of 28 who opted out of going to church today, so he has to stay and read his book on his own. It feels very odd to me that this happens at all. In France there would be riots...
