A, lying on the bed. Natural light comes in from the left while. the white bedspread provides soft light from below. Lens is 85mm (my favorite) set at f1.8 to provide softness to the background. I always have the legs bent at the knee and feet crossed as I find it helps with the composition.

Lastly: Taking good nude photos is more difficult - so start with portraits then full body clothed, then swimsuit. Bluesky is full of horrible nude photos because people have not learned the basics. Practice, edit, practice, edit; post & ask for feedback. Listen to the feedback. Always be learning.

Take photos of anyone. Practice is key. Takes more skill to take a flattering photo of a plain person rather than a beautiful one. Practice talking (use flattery) while doing all the photographer things - multitasking is key. I work so hard when I'm shooting, the sweat runs in my eyes and blinds me.

4. Look at the focus. Whats in focus, whats blurry? Why is it like that?
5. Look at the angle of the shot. Where was the photographer? What lens was she using? Aperture? Shutter speed?
6. Ask yourself, could you take that photo? If not, why not? Can you talk to models while you compose photographs?

3 contd. Find photos you like. Work out why you like them. Look at the light...what is the source? How has the photog used the light to get the effect you like. Is it sharp or soft, one source or many? Look at the pose. What has the 'tog said to get that model into that pose? Why do you like it?

Are you wanting to make your portraits better? Some tips:

1. Experience is better than gear. Spend money on models rather than equipment.
2. Editing photos trains your eye to take better ones.
3. Your eyes are most important kit you have. Train yourself while you look at pictures. More in comments
