Quebec plans to cut Montreal commuter trains by over 50%, another backward move by the CAQ
In 2024, a Quebec government agency is looking to cut the number of commuter trains serving Montreal by more than half.
"While Canada is developing high-speed rail between Quebec City and Toronto, the CAQ looks to cut commuter trains in Montreal by 50%. That such an idea is even considered during the climate crisis reveals broader issues of perspective on public transit."
