Oldhim could do well into Briar, driving her numbers down, bringing DGA, Enigma, and Nuu up. But if Kayo and DGA keep Oldhim down, things aren't encouraged to change.

I'm always happy to see more data. I was hopeful after San Diego, but that changed fast in testing. It's still off for me.

They did it, everyone else tested it, and I watched many abandon the decks. PQs make it look like that was a common result of testing with Assassin at 0 wins and Enigma at 4. Just because there is a top dog, doesn't mean there's a way to attack them. There isn't always an answer to the question.

When a format is too linear, you have analogous issues to LL being multiplicative. Best players choose the best decks for release weekend, looking like agency. Now their info is out for the rest of us, we get PQ data which doesn't look like agency. Currently, fine as an armory format, same as LL.

My goals in the game aren't results related anymore either. My goal is to see how far I can take Prism before she LLs. That doesn't mean I'll qualify for anything. That's ok.

It's not something that's come easy and it's something that I've had to work to maintain. It slipped around Singapore.

It's something I have to take one day at a time. Did I play better than yesterday? Better than last event?

Another thing has literally been making to-do lists of cards to evaluate/test, matchups to work on, VODs to review. Going down that list helps a lot for keeping me directed.

I don't doubt that engaging in these events is a part of it, but the bar of "I had my picture taken" feels very far from seeing the entire process.

The analogy I've gotten for playing FaB is they removed the Calling and just did a celebrational and side events, with no clear path to the celebrational. Why not just do both?

9-3 for a 15th place finish. My first cash at a Calling. I'm happy with the way I played overall and the work I'd put in leading to this event. Always still more to work on, but headed in the right direction at a good pace. Mental was better this weekend too.

Round 12 vs. Jarl: W. This might've been the weirdest jarl game I've played. I kinda just rolled over him... 9-3 finish.
