Long ago, it had heard the moon was made of cheese, and, if this was the case, the cosmic mice were bound to show up sooner or later. The city has its own man-made geology.

Stuck to the ground like pheasants, I wonder if people even notice the lumen coming through the haze from the birds on the roofs on this grey morning.

ROOFTOP NEWS

I hear birds on the roof. They are tweeting, and chirping, away the haze beneath a grey sky.

Below, the hustle of the day roars by on the main road like piranhas caught in a current. No mountains to climb for escape. Only walls, and roofs, to fiddle on. Spread the word.
