In my personal life yes. I retired. My time is my own now but I spend way too much time worrying about what’s gonna happen. I think I’ll be ok but so many other people won’t. I can’t let it go. It’s not about me.

Happy New Year from landlocked North Texas in the Man Cave. There is much I wish I could rectify about 2024 that is beyond my control. But one thing that was severely lacking was beach time. I plan on fixing that. I’m gonna need it to survive the next four years.

This week I’ve only been doom scrolling & procrastinating on cleaning but last week I read For You To See The Stars by Radney Foster. A collection of short fiction born from some of his songs. I highly recommend it.

I really think that was a decoy to draw attention away from the restrictions on investments in China.

Also I taught 4th grade science. If I wanted to do hands on activities I bought the supplies. I didn’t mind though because my kids loved it & so did I.

I worked at a Title One school so we had very few haves. Our Jr League donated all the school supplies at the beginning of the year but they didn’t last all year. I spent a fortune on pencils.

I used to be one of those people but now that I retired from teaching last year my favorite thing is not getting up at 5:30 anymore☺️
