If you're someone who is setting policy, you need to know exactly where you stand on fringe cases.

Sturgeon couldn't handle questions about Isla Bryson because if she stated that Isla Bryson isn't a woman and should not be allowed into women's prisons, then self-ID could not become policy.

DLC should be a limited, optional add-on to make an excellent game better or different.

It should not be something needed to make a shit game playable.

I don't think releasing a game before it's 100% perfect is a terrible thing as long as you're honest about it and patch it early.

However, the attempts to release a half-assed game and then milk the customer base for all their worth with DLC is taking the piss.

“Oliver, you’ve been here a few years, but your style and approach don’t match how I want to run the school. If you want to leave, I’ll give you a good reference.”

It is 100% a thing that happens to teachers.

When I had my really shit year, I didn’t suddenly become a bad teacher overnight. It was more the case that either personality-wise, professionally or both, I didn’t fit the new HT’s vision for the school and what she wanted her team to look like

And that was all my fault apparently. If I hadn't made the "You love each other really" comment, then the "gay" comment wouldn't have happened so neither would the assault.

Two boys had a falling out during a swimming lesson in the morning. They were friends. On the coach back, I said they love each other really. At lunchtime another pupil called one of them 'gay' so he got him a headlock and kicked him in the face...

another teacher got nothing more than a 'whoopsie daisy' comment from for leaving a pupil at a neighbouring school following an event and letting another pupil go home with the wrong parent.

When I worked for a toxic HT, the time when it clicked that she was clearly gunning for me was when I learnt that at around the same time I had a disciplinary meeting for telling two boys they loved each other really*, ...

Losing a pupil on a trip is probably my worst (teaching) nightmare.
