If the card had been signed, he wouldn’t have to sit here wondering. If the card had been signed, he would know for sure that it didn’t come from Bokuto. The uncertainty only served to give his heart the flimsiest - and most torturous - hope. But knowing the dangers of letting false hope take root, Akaashi decided to not feed it. It was best to just cut those roots off before they had time to spread further. The gift couldn’t be from Bokuto. And that was final. Posting Feb. 14!
