We have a similar situation here, valuable wilderness areas are sold to developers, where worthless apartments are later built.

The Tatra Mountains are beautiful, I recommend visiting from the Slovak side, fewer people and more culture on the trails.

I was last there about 30 years ago, but entry is prohibited due to its strict nature reserve. The photo shows the view from Hala Radziechowska towards the Tatra Mountains.
