Laughing a little here...that ice maker has been taking up space in the back of my pantry for over five years now. It's pretty much waiting there for someone who actually wants it to take it.

I suppose you can clean them by running through a solution of water and bleach--that's how we cleaned the milkshake machine when I worked at a fast-food restaurant.

I thought you lived in Europe, but I figured I'd offer you my ice maker to try out just in case you were in the US now. :)

If you live anywhere near CT, let me know. You can try out (and maybe even keep) mine.

I have one of those table-top icemakers--is that what you're talking about? It's hardly worth using. The cubes are small and melt quickly.

Why would it get contaminated? You're just running water (preferably filtered) through it.

I have exactly the same preferences as you do (including being unable to choose between OBAA and Sinners for BP).

I've seen everything nominated except a few that simply aren't available to me. Hoping to catch SirΓ’t, If I Had Legs, and The Alabama Solution before the ceremony.

Now that I've watched the episode, there's something Mimi's husband isn't saying, and it's real: having a child with autism can be an extra financial commitment in many ways. This is not a time for other people to tell him how to spend their money. #Married2Med

Tuned into #Married2Medicine for the first time in a season and a half. Used to like it a lot, but last season just fell flat from the start.

I've lived through a lot of what Dr. Mimi has ahead of her. I wish we could spend some time together.

And Curtis is just...awful.

Vegetable Soup (Published 2023)

This vegetable soup is delicious. I use frozen roasted corn, frozen petite peas, and frozen French green bean (cut them up a bit) from Trader Joe's. Also Muir Glen diced fire-roasted tomatoes and Better Than Bouillon roasted vegetable broth. Gift link.

That’s one of the reasons I love β€œLine of Duty”—the good guys are the equivalent of Internal Affairs.

It’s wild to be incorrect about every single aspect of a sentence. Not one single part makes sense.

No voter ID, but people should have to watch and listen to this clip (or maybe the whole speech?) before being permitted to vote.

Let’s get one thing straight: We are not a Christian nation. We are a nation where you are free to be a Christian.

Your religion guides you, not all of us. It’s as simple as that.

Real family text exchange:

Son: I took the Miata out for the first time this year
Son: I shouldn't have worn such a heavy coat.

Husband: Did you find any other signs of spring?

Son: I saw a trump voter shedding their skin

My theory: She also has to act like he doesn't have much income, because she doesn't want his ex-wife to get any of it.

I think most of the money she's made--which I think she actually made with her partner--is from buying, upgrading, then selling real estate.

This supports your point, that she brags about how much money she has to support the scamminess of her other business. #RHOBH

MELANIA just got added to Amazon Prime. Get ready for some unbelievable, unreliable and unaudited viewership numbers.

I don’t understand why they wear them when the sizing is wrong. Can’t they just buy the identical style on their own? Acquiescence, but smarter.

I have now seen all the current Best Picture nominees (and almost all the non-animated films in all categories. Some I’ve seen twice. All on big screens.

Strongest field in years. I’m glad I don’t have to choose.

Do bring a light rain jacket. I was in Philly for a week at the end of March 2025, and it rained almost every day. An umbrella wouldn't have been sufficient because there was a lot of drizzle.

Sorry I missed this thread until just now.

I’m grateful to you for choosing this film. It’s seared-in-my-mind great.
