Feeling rather full after judging my first barbeque competition of 2025 at Kumeū Hot Rod Festival.
5 categories (chicken, pork ribs, pork, lamb, beef brisket) judged today, and 30 teams competed. Some outstanding entries. Always learning, to perfect my barbeque skills.
Next is #Meatstock Hamilton.

Day 3.5 after a dental implant, and I'm getting innovative with eating soft foods, having moved off liquids sooner than expected...
No pain, except the massive hole in my bank account.

Fabulous BBQ and Cocktails party with new friends from my wife's Pilates social group.
The ribs and pork belly burnt ends went down a treat.
Everyone loved the Pornstar Martinis with Tequila instead of Vodka.

Currently at 33000ft en route back to Aotearoa, after 2 fabulous days in Fiji for a work conference / party.

Last night we ate BBQ lobster and drank champagne beneath the palm trees.

Celebrating the submission of my final assignment for the NZ Certificate in Maori Business Management, completed this year via Aspire2.
The course exceeded my expectations.
100% pass rate so far. Results soon.
