You're probably right but it's all down to how Labour performs in the next 3 years or so and how much media coverage LibDems get. Most people are centrists at heart.

Not at all. Many EU citizens are black or mixed race. I was just trying to point out that with an aging population and falling birth rate the migrants we most need to boost the economy (not excluding others) are those who do not plan to retire here.

The immigration we need most is from Europe because Europeans tend to return to their home countries in retirement. Migrants from further afield are more likely to stay into old age, needing more working age people to care for them. Brexit was a mistake.

Not the state pension as things stand, only private pensions. If one's total income exceeds the £12+k threshold the excess is taxable but nobody's state pension exceeds that at the moment.
