You should realize the billionaire class thinks social security is just another benefit program like SNAP. They can’t profit from it, so they hate everything about it. Watch for them to quietly make it worse by doing things like no COLA and raising the benefit age. Slow death instead of killing it.

One of the mistakes I’ve made as a white person is tiptoeing around calling people out for their thinly veiled racism. Now that they are so open about it, it’s clear I have to just say it every single time I see it. Including the casual stuff I know they don’t see as bigotry because it’s cultural.

I think it's important to point out that he is bringing up a common misconception in the US. Social democracy is NOT socialism (or communism), it's a capitalist economy with strong regulation and social policies.
