Perpetually Tired

Yeah the loos weren't great. The drinks were expensive inside but the bar was cheap next door! I was near the front and thankfully security were handing out water cups throughout to keep us hydrated. Public transport wasn't as horrendous as I thought it would be though - got home at about 1.30am!

Agree! I think the sound is an Ally Pally thing though - similar issues with Alice Cooper years ago. The acoustics there are weird. Also agree with the screens - I was near the front but had 3 6' blokes in front of me part of the time but I'm 4'10 so that's always an issue! It was amazing though :)

Went to the #ElectricCallboy concert in London last night. One of the best gigs I've been to - despite being 4'10" and having three 6' blokes standing in front of me for part of it. My body hurts today and my feet are blistered but it was absolutely worth it. So glad I booked leave to recover.

Only one day of work this week as I've got Annual Leave as I'm going to a gig on Tuesday and at my age I need three days to recover after...

Looking forward to Electric Callboy though.

The little orange is getting bigger and his personality is developing more tok - but he is hogging that orange brain cell! Sorry to the other orange owners, I'm sure your cats will eventually get their turn again!

I'm in the UK but I said this exact thing to my husband this morning.

Little orange is still too small to leave his (humongous) pen but seems to be doing better and becoming more confident. Our old girls are slowly coming around with a few hisses still but they seem happier when he's in #kitty jail.

Anyway, no thoughts, just floof.

check up for her in a month. So that's now three out of our four cats with health issues (Pixie is 21 so I kinda get it). I feel like such a bad cat parent - we give them high quality food, fresh water and they have a massive climbing tree. I don't get it :( #cats #kittens #vet

Called back from the Vet. Her op went fine - 4 teeth removed and she has high blood pressure and they suspected thyroid/kidney issues. Recommended bloods and reminded them she'd had bloods taken earlier this month and those came back clear. Anyway, she's on blood pressure meds too now...

Princess is at the vet for her dental operation today - she went in at 8am and I've heard nothing yet but should get a call soon. Ozzy was also rushed in for an emergency appointment as he's got bad diarrhea atm which isn't good for a tiny kitten - more meds for him too. I'm so anxious right now 😭

Last day of Panicure for little man. Got bitten for that too... Who would have thought a tiny 6.5 week kitten could bite so hard. Duly washed with soap and anti-septic which we keep on hand. Eye drops are still super traumatic for lil man and I fear that he will hate handling after this :( #kittens

We let her briefly meet him today. There was a little hissing and a few weird squeaks and chirruping from her but no conflict. He puffed himself up and tried to act big with growling and she just hissed slightly in response before walking out. Win? 2/2

The baby orange seems to be doing well - despite the fact he's not the age we think, the eye medication and worming. He seems to be a lot more active and confident today and has met one of our cats at a distance again... We have a screen up and Freya is very curious of her new sibling. 1/2

Honestly, I've been so stressed and my anxiety so high that I've not slept properly in days, have been throwing up everything I eat and haven't eaten properly since Saturday as I couldn't even keep water down. I can relax slightly now, but the next two weeks are still going to be tense.

just to kinda help him gain some more weight but he's on track for 100g per week. I'd hoped I'd never have to deal with a kitten so young again but here we are. Honestly, I've been so worried due to Reddit doom but the vet seems happy. Back to vet in 3 weeks for progress and vaccinations. 2/3

Vet confirmed our suspicions that he's about 6 weeks old. But other than an eye infection he's healthy. I hand raised Freya from 4.5 weeks so I'm well versed in caring for cats too young to be away from mum. But he's eating solids & can poop alone. Planning on getting formula to feed once a day 1/3

Anyway, this fact led me to a doom spiral of anxiety, throwing up and stomach upset because I went crazy researching. At least I can keep water down now - just got to try and keep this cup of tea down.

He has his first vet visit tomorrow, so I guess I'll find out then. Apparently it's extremely rare for premature kittens to survive (especially 2.5 weeks early) which makes us suspicious 😭 I'll upload a photo later.

We have an Ozzy! He's very tiny for 3 months as my friend told me he was actually premature (why do we not get told these things first?!). But he plays, eats, drinks and uses the litter tray fine. We are actually wondering if it's a different kitten at this stage and this one is actually younger.

That would certainly be awkward. No our 21 year old cat who acts like she's never been fed a day in her life, despite being put on a diet by the vet.

Gotta love it when the eldest of our ladies decides to wolf down her food so quickly she throws up shortly after. Then she has the audacity to glare at me and sit pitifully by her food dish 😩 Just... why. #cats

Could I please just fall asleep like a normal person instead of tossing and turning for hours on end. I barely slept last night and have so much tidying to do in prep for kitten and friend arrival. Let's hope I can exhaust myself today cleaning so I can get an early night and be up for 6am tomorrow.

I say long but to my US friends a 4-5hr round trip is nothing. It'll be over 7hrs of driving in total as I'm then driving another 1hr 30 each way to drop her at her Mum's after and come back!

A little over 34 hrs til kitten collection day. I'm a strange mixture of nervous and excitement. Excited for our new family member, nervous about the long ass drive to pick up my friend and how Ozzy will get on with our girls.
