20.01.2025 15:04 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0On this, our national day of mourning, President Biden has done the honorable thing and pardoned those whom the incoming incompetent has threatened for having sought to uphold the rule of law. They deserve protection and the assurance that their efforts to protect the republic are appreciated.

Here's the deal: the one(s) proposing tariffs are so obscenely wealthy, they wouldn't feel the pinch if tariffs doubled the cost of all imported goods. Can the American family afford it? Without a doubt, they cannot and shouldn't be punished this way.
During the campaign, Trump promised tariffs would help America -- now he's admitting they'll hurt the US economy in the short run
During the campaign, Trump said he would lower grocery costs -- now he's admitting that lowering those prices would be "very hard"
IT WAS ALL A CON
America....too soon (or maybe too late) you will realize what you've gone and done. These people want to end polio vaccines, abolish the FDIC? Just reading headlines these days is like plunging into a dystopian novel from which there's no escape. And sadly, it hasn't even "officially" begun.

13.12.2024 14:02 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 1 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Talking with some friends about why we like to study history. My take: we know we lived through it as a civilization and somehow survived it. We yearn to discover more about ourselves as we learn more about those who came before us. And in the process, we gather strength to face what lies ahead.

15.11.2024 01:29 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0In his inaugural address, President Gerald Ford said, "My fellow Americans, our long national nightmare is over."
I fear that our national nightmare is just beginning.
But then he said, "Our Constitution works; our great Republic is a government of laws and not of men."
This is what gives me hope.
