These 2 (70cm sq) are done I think.
Drawn from ideas and memories of old ruins, fragments of buildings, stones and markings on islands and promontories. Excavations, history, habitations.
Remembering also my visit to the stones of #CeideFields Neolithic settlement in County Mayo

The two blue ones have changed a lot! Flattened, simplified, paler, pastel, softer.
Perhaps a bit boring?
Let’s see tomorrow

Not a single tree, but a windbreak of willows (cuttings taken and planted about 12 years ago) with more recent alders planted in front, on our land on Cruit Island, County Donegal. We are very windswept, and trees struggle. After 17 years we have established c. 100 young native trees

I have noticed, anecdotally only, that there seem to be more molehills in Abergavenny parks (Linda Vista Gardens and Castle Meadows) this year than usual. I think that must be a good thing 🀞 🌍

I once dug up a nest of tiny pink blind baby rats, in a compost heap, and have remained haunted by my careless destruction. Still don’t like rats though. That β€˜duality’ or contradiction often thrives in me.
