I grew up in a small town and was pariah'd there for being ME. I am not some crazy asshole or a creep, I've been passing as VERY FUNCTIONAL and plenty SANE for years now, and at the word of plenty of psychological evaluation that I sought out MYSELF.

and that others might see such things and believe greatly of them, or even the kind of individual I could be has helped me come out of my shell and into myself immensely. has made it easier to believe in the larger-than-life experiences I've had, that I and others like me should exist.

The fictive experiences and their social and spiritual backbones and ties to this world, of #homestuck, #the_owl_house, and #undertale / #deltarune tie in so greatly to the spiritualities and occult beliefs I hold, as they are so potently and constantly reinforced in my life as REAL-

I want to especially thank Andrew Hussie, Toby Fox, and Dana Terrace.
They've helped me find the most meaningful kinships with THEMES and ROLE in my life-less hard to swallow.
Easier to reconcile. Clearer to see.
I learn of them myself, but their works make me feel like I'm not so unbelievable.

Equally, that the dark doesnt merely hide things or provide some ontological evil; instead IS in a way, the freedom that cannot be promised in a space already defined by consensus and absolutes. I have chosen to embrace myself as far and truly as I can.

Especially through these connections, people are finding themselves in escapism now more than ever. The reasons are many, but poignantly I believe the way the balance between Fate and Agency is addressed is very important.
As is the revelation that the harshlight isnt everything good and right.

These fictions are giving us ways to better reconcile with the tough truths of our realities, in ways that better reflect that reality and its underlying conceits than the supposed "Light" can really seem to bring to us. At least meaningfully; and the meaning is something people have started to see.

To at the very least, be seeing something I've been seeing my whole life.
Maybe they have, too. Ideas deeply rooted, beyond just fiction. Connections to ancient ideals and beliefs held long before Certain Groups found it fit to push them out and take their place as spiritual have defined my life.

More than I let me be.
I find a few creators have made great successes pushing forth both progressive and otherwise fundamental ideas on the functions of meta-real parts of our existences, and the social experiences we dwell in because of them. Everything from cosmology to identity.
