Oh for sure. It's more a general jab at people who think there's legit money in this for most of us. It isn't, because the industry is so broken and unreasonable. If I wanted a stable income and good money, I would not be an artist. If those were my sole motivators, I mean.

I once told my mother I considered making foot fetish porn to pay the bills and she, without skipping a beat, said "go for it"

You can't look inside other people's minds and don't get to decide what should or shouldn't be important to them. For fuck's sake, target your frustration at those who were the reason for this happening, not the people who couldn't persevere.

It's been bugging me for years now but I really, really, don't like the take "if you are quitting art after the A/I rise it means you only did it for money and it wasn't for you" and its derivatives.

You can't look inside other people's minds and don't get to decide what should or shouldn't be---
