It's fine, I can live with being reduced to that depressed shark who draws that metal guy. Even if it does feel extra lonely at times.

And seeing the onslaught of fascist online policing from the common person against anything that's not "house clean" has made it even more yuck. I stand with my smut artists, my trans artists, my sex workers and so on. I'll at least die knowing I was okay with discomfort.

Really weird to reflect on the husk of a person I've become online the last years. Hardly share anything beyond art - knowing that I'll be misunderstood and assumed about has just killed the vibe. I miss connecting with folks and miss being more "alive", but I don't miss that aspect of it.

Oh for sure. It's more a general jab at people who think there's legit money in this for most of us. It isn't, because the industry is so broken and unreasonable. If I wanted a stable income and good money, I would not be an artist. If those were my sole motivators, I mean.
