Manga Haul Time!

Forgot its been a while some manga hauls, so here are 3 of my most recent ones 😅

First up is my haul from Indigo with one of those 20% off coupons, some new releases from Amazon that Indigo hadn't stocked yet, and a FB marketplace pickup and more new releases!

Finally back to reading Muhyo & Roji's BSI. I took a bit of a break to catch up on a bunch of reading for reviews and just didn't have the motivation to start reading it again, which was a mistake because the series is genuinely really good.

Hoping to finish it by the weekend!

Some recent reads.

Asumi-chan was super spicy as always but it still kept that sweetness to balance it out. Seeing some real progression now too.

Till Your Dying Day was as impressive as I was expecting. There is a bit of an ick factor to it, but I guess we will have to see how it progresses.

Over the month of January I ended up reading 17 volumes. It was quite a bit less than I was hoping to read, but I'm still happy with with what I did manage to get through.

I have a lot of series I'm hoping to get through here in February, including the rest of Muhyo & Roji's.

If the cover wasn't a dead giveaway, The Color of the End has some stunningly gorgeous and highly detailed artwork with some impeccable linework.

On top of that the story conveys the emptiness of the world in an almost hopeful light, only for that to often be snuffed out with sadness.

This.

This series really has the potential to be something special.

The Color of the End is a beautifully haunting post-apocalyptic sci-fi survival manga that follows Saya, a girl tasked with the seemingly impossible job of searching for survivors in a world eradicated of life.

Mysterious Disappearances has its moments where it really doesn't take itself seriously with all the gags and fanservice, so to have it hit you with a story about following one's dreams, overcoming obstacles, and the many (ugly) faces of self-doubt was like a punch to the gut.

Volume 4 of Mysterious Disappearances was honestly one of the best and most impactful volumes of manga I've read in a long time.

Mystery is obviously at the core of the story, but the emotional storyline that unfolded from it hit me hard and had me choked up inside.

The Kept Man of the Princess Knight just keeps getting better and better 🤯

A good sized chunk of Vol. 2 was a flashback, but damn did it ever pay off by the end!

Since Indigo's Hardcover Sale did include manga and artbooks, figured it was time to finally get some of the more expensive items I had been putting off getting for a while 😅

Still might go back for a few more items soon 🤔

And no its not neccessary to play the VNs.

The anime for Fruit, Labyrinth, and Eden adapt basically every beside the most of sex scenes. Those ended up being the OVA episodes, though altered because couldn't show everything.

They even got the VN voice actors to voice their characters in the anime

So this new season of Phantom Trigger im not sure if its a continuation of the Phantom Trigger sequel series or if its a remake since we have little info on it.

But if it is a continuation definitely watch the other Phantom Triggers.

If you want to watch the upcoming anime you should watch the other Phantom Trigger animes, but otherwise they aren't necessary since its a sequel with a new cast.

Fruit, Labyrinth, and Eden are what's actually important.

For the anime the watch order is:

Grisaia Phantom Trigger (Sequel) ->

Somehow fell down the Bungo Stray Dogs "authors and their works that inspired the characters and their abilities" rabbit hole.

I gotta say, the amount of research that went into pretty much every inspiration is seemingly very extensive.

This is some top tier planning and writing imo.
