Check the top of your feed: is it set to “Discover” or “Following”? If you’re on Discover it’s going to show you accounts that it thinks you *may* want to follow, which would explain seeing something from someone you’re *not* following (but not why the algorithm thinks you want to see it)

Well, a year+ later, I’m back on this thing. More accounts means a more satisfactory feed, but I’m still having trouble finding people I know.
