I saw posts about this earlier and they seemed to be putting words in his mouth. But he actually did respond “I don’t know” to the direct question: “Don't you need to uphold the Constitution?”

If your senator is breaking filibuster records, flying to El Salvador in defense of their constituents, or putting holds on every damned Trump nominee, celebrate them now. Show them they have support.

If your senator isn't doing any of that - ask them why not.

Republican lawmakers no show as western Wisconsin farmers complain of Trump chaos, disruption  • Wisconsin Examiner Western Wisconsin farmers expressed concerns about Trump administration tariffs and budget cuts; Republican representatives failed to show

It's genuinely unfortunate that Republicans didn't show up to hear the concerns of Wisconsin farmers who are very worried about what Trump & Elon cutting their federal funding & contracts could mean for their livelihoods and the future of their family farms.

You may have heard that the Trump administration has instructed the NIH to limit the "indirect costs" it pays to universities on its grants to just 15%. Well, I learned today that Trump also tried to limit indirect costs in 2017 — to 10%.

The NIH Memo That Undercut Universities Came Directly From Trump Officials NIH officials said they were given no advance warning and less than an hour to post the memo publicly.

In response, "Congress has since included language in its annual spending bills that prevents changes to indirect costs without legislative approval,” according to The Atlantic.

In other words, what the administration has asked NIH to do is illegal, in case there is any doubt.
