Captain River (RP)

River is practicing their shapeshifting abilities. They hadn’t expected anyone to be home at the moment, so they’re mostly just messing around.

River seems tired today. They must’ve had a rough time sleeping last night.

…they probably had a nightmare.

River made heart shaped sugar cookies. They’re decorated with mostly pink icing, but some of them have various pastel colors. They set all the cookies on a plate and set them on the counter. They put a little sign by it that says ‘Take One’ with a small heart on it.

// We’re going to hope the random websites I found with flower meanings were right. //

River got themself a small bouquet of flowers. The bouquet has white and yellow tulips, with a few lilacs in between. They set the flowers in a vase with water.

River is making cookies. They’re using the fact that Valentine’s Day is soon as an excuse to make cookies.

“I nearly forgot that Valentine’s Day is so soon.”

River doesn’t really have any plans.

River is lying on the couch with their ESA dog, Sadie, on top of them like a weighted blanket.

It’s a little warmer today. River’s still bundled up, but they’re sitting in the garden. It’s the first time it’s been warm enough for them to go outside in a few months.

// It was really active a few years ago when a lot of people (myself included) joined because of ISWM. The RP activity has just gone down a lot because it’s been a while since a “with Markiplier” thing (understandably so because he was working on a movie) //

// The Markiplier Cinematic Universe (which includes Who Killed Markiplier, A Date With Markiplier, A Heist With Markiplier, and In Space With Markiplier). The verse is pretty inactive. //

// Usually when River can’t sleep, it’s because they had a nightmare. When that happens, they make themself some tea and read a book. Reading helps distract them. //

// Despite both of them being politicians, River and Jeb Bush are different. This is because River actually got into the position of government they wanted. (I didn’t know anything about Jeb Bush five minutes ago) //

// A tired and weary monarch. Though they were never the highest in the government (only being a district attorney), they’re very tired and were somewhere in government. I probably took this too literally. //

// River’s hard to write for in the winter since they avoid going outside when it’s cold. //

It’s snowing. River has practically locked themself inside.

River is fidgeting with their hair. They were told that they have a few grey hairs, and they aren’t sure how to feel about it. They aren’t getting any older, so the grey hair must be from stress.

// I haven’t seen Sonic 3 yet by the way. I’ve just watched people play/review some of the games. //

// I like more complex and/or morally grey characters (Shadow really just counts in the more complex category as far as I know) so anyone who knows me shouldn’t be surprised about him being my favorite. //

// Probably Shadow? I don’t know a lot of Sonic characters but he’s my favorite. I’d definitely need to do more research on general Sonic lore though. //

River picks up the bottle and quickly drinks half of it.

“Happy New Year!”

River bundles up in blankets and pillows on the couch. They open a bottle of nonalcoholic wine and pour some into a wine glass. They still have a couple hours until midnight.

River is bundled up for Christmas. They also make some gingerbread cookies and hot chocolate.

// I’m seeing this from a lens of “they chose to be a district attorney, but they didn’t choose to be a captain”. They can handle being a leader, but they’d prefer not to be. //

// They wouldn’t mind not being the monarch. They want to have a place in the government, but they’re perfectly content being second in command as long as they get some say. The only reason they’d want to overthrow their sibling is if their sibling was a terrible leader. //

“Depending on how attractive they find you, he isn’t wrong.”

River learned about Fish Game. They’ve quite literally never been so focused on a computer before now.
