I wanted to post a short poem, two stanzas, five lines each. It was more than twice the size allowed. And just splitting it up between an initial post and the following comment is lame!

What's with the stringy character limit on posts? I know there is some desire to encourage a certain type of interaction, but really... I tried responding to a post and didn't feel good about it. I won't do its again. Is this what you wanted?

I had a work-study job at the San Francisco Art Institute. Down the hill was a restaurant/bar called Ginsberg's. At a staff lunch, I asked a bearded man who worked there if he was the beat poet, and restaurant owner Allen Ginsberg. He was. That's it except for the low-grade flirting from his end.

Fornes was definitely a militant Intuitive. The link above is to one of her writing exercise/meditations. I believe it goes a long way to suggesting how it can be adapted to magickal ends and ambitions, as well as showing how the arts are in their own unique way a type of magickal practice.

Jung describes 4 personality types: Intellectual, Emotional, Sensation-based, and Intuitive. The implication is that most people are one, sometimes two of these, the opposite type being decidedly weaker in their psychological profile.

I had the opportunity of studying playwriting with a protege of Fornes' when I was a theater major at Columbia. Her writing exercises are visionary and whether she intended this or not, shamanic. I use these exercises in my Vision Magick workshops.
