I mean once you go a lot higher, you can definitely tell the difference when cooking/baking but at ~1000m altitude, the differences are minimal in my experience

Well, 3500 feet (~1000m) isn't exactly high altitude. That's about the same altitude as the Blue Mountains or other parts of Australia's Great Dividing Range and I have baked plenty of cakes at that altitude in my life. That is not to say that high altitude wouldn't affect cooking/baking.

Sir Ian McKellen performing a monologue from Shakespeare’s Sir Thomas More on the Stephen Colbert show. Never have I heard this monologue performed with such a keen sense of prescience. Nor have I ever been in this exact historical moment.TY Sir Ian, for reaching us once again.

That shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone who paid attention to the science but I have a feeling that the vast majority of the medical establishment will be in total and utter surprise... πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ

Let's be specific and refer explicitly to Generative AI. With that caveat, I fully agree that it is a cancer in academia.

There are other forms of AI, for example Predictive AI, that are not BS machines and have perfectly valid and useful applications. Let's not throw out the good with the bad.

A shocking embarrassment for Australia. Damage is being done on a daily basis. Urgent action is required.

COVID-19 is β€œAirborne AIDS”: provocative oversimplification, emerging science, or something in between?

While SARS-CoV-2 doesn’t cause HIV/AIDS, its immune dysfunction, T cell depletion, vulnerability to infections, accelerated aging, and systemic damage echo AIDS-like effects in a broader sense.
